Project Description
Client: Glasheen Boys National School
MHL have recently been appointed to provide full engineering consultancy services for the completion of a €1m expansion to Glasheen Boys School. MHL have provided planning and construction stage services for a number of developments on the Glasheen School Campus which provides for both boys and girls primary schools. The most recent extension includes for two mainstream classrooms, an ASD room with associated quiet room and sensory room provision, several resource rooms and new teacher facilities including a canteen. The new building is an extension of a previous scheme completed by MHL in 2013. The use of the ‘screw-pile’ foundation system coupled with cast-in-situ ground beams is being proposed as the entire site is on made-up ground. Hollow-core floor slabs will complete the make-up of this single-storey building.
