College Road Refurbishment Project

M.H.L & Associates were consulting engineers on the College Road Refurbishment Project. The contract was one of the first prepared to the new Conditions of Contract issued by the Department of Finance February 2007. The project was completed in December 2008. The Cost of the Works was €3.5Million approx. The Project was co-funded by Cork City Council and UCC.
The proposed site of the Works with a total area of approximately 20,000 square metres included setting back of UCC boundaries, widening of existing road way and footpaths, construction of raised speed tables in granite, installation of traffic signals, upgrading the public lighting, lining, signage, broadband, drainage, water mains, reconstruction of roadway and footpaths, street furniture and landscaping and other ancillary works necessary for the completion of the contract.
